Winner of Motorcyclist magazine's best touring bike of 2000 award, the BMW R1100RT is the ideal traveling machine. The RT is a fully faired motorcycle that provides you with excellent weather protection while maintaining a sporting edge.

Utilizing BMW's 1100cc boxer twin engine, the RT delivers 90bhp and 69 lbs of torque providing plenty of power even for fully loaded, two up riding. The Telelever front end gives excellent control, especially under braking and the second generation ABS will ensure that the rubber side stays down. In fact, the RT is such a solid performing machine that the California Highway Patrol uses it exclusively for all of its two wheel patrols. Now the CHP can catch you in comfort.

The R1100RT comes standard with BMWs lockable side cases and can also be outfitted with a top case and heated grips. A special edition of the RT is available on a limited basis that includes a top case, comfort seat and color matched bags for a small additional charge.
