In 1998 BMW revolutionized the concept of a cruiser motorcycle with the introduction of the R1200C. For 2001 The R1200C is back in 4 different models to choose from. Cruisers have always been about style and the R1200C has it in spades. Of all the cruisers on the market today, only the R1200C can claim a spot in Gugenheim Museum's Art of the Motorcycle show. Artwork on wheels it is, but what really sets this bike apart is the way that the art of it follows tremendous functionality. The R1200C relies on the modern interpretation of the venerable Boxer twin engine to propel it down the road. With 70lbs of torque on tap at only 3,000 rpm, the boxer twin delivers more than enough usable power for any situation. In the suspension department things are kept in order by BMW's patented Telelever front suspension making this the best handling, most stable cruiser on the market. For 2001 the four models available are as follows. All models come standard with BMW's excellent ABS. R1200C R1200C Euro R1200C Montana R1200C Phoenix |
