The R 1100 S comes factory equipped in two formats plus two special editions. The "ABS" model has ABS II anti-lock braking, bag mounts and heated handgrips. The non-ABS model sheds those items for a weight savings of 22 pounds off the 504-pound stock weight. A special edition of the ABS model feature s black and yellow racing graphics. And then there's the "Light" special edition in Night Black, which deletes the center stand and adds a carbon-fiber kit, sport suspension and a 180/55ZR17 rear tire on a wider, 5.5-inch wheel, plus sport handlebars. It is available with or without ABS.

An impressive list of options includes two styles of custom-fitted saddlebags, a cylinder protection system, engine spoiler and a tank bag. You can even dress things up with chrome valve covers.
