BMW introduced this model in the early 1980's, people wondered, now the world understands. In present day 2003, the R1150GS range has received a new family member, the R1150GS Sport. This bike still has a 6-speed transmission but with out the tall over drive gear offering a sportier run through the top end than either the Adventurer or standard R1150GS ABS. The new Sport does not come with ABS or bag mounts but does have a blacked out motor and transmission. The R1150GS ABS, for 2003, comes with Partially Integrated EVO ABS brakes, a first for the GS. This brake system offers easily applied stopping power with great lever feel, wrapped in a legendary package with no peers.
