Finnish BMW stunt team makes waves across Europe.
It's not just Chris Pfeiffer who is flying the flag for BMW Motorrad in the world of stunt riding. While the undisputed world number one has most recently been seen in action at BMW Motorrad Days and entertaining MotoGP fans at the Sachsenring in Germany and Laguna Seca in the USA, two Finnish BMW riders have also been providing two-wheeled thrills throughout Europe.
BMW Motorrad Finland's stunt ride team was formed in 2007 and also uses the remarkably versatile twin-cylinder F 800 for its shows. Star riders Tony Raita and Migu Hilska are well known in Scandinavia for their 'Streetbike-Freestyle' shows and have appeared at numerous events during the past year, as well as giving plenty of stunt demonstrations at various BMW Motorrad dealerships.

'Look, no feet!' a tank wheelie to thrill the crowds in Warsaw
Some of the bigger shows include the 'På Två Hjul', which is the main motorcycle exhibition in Stockholm every year, attracting around 65,000 visitors. The boys have also appeared at Finland's big bike show the 'MP-Messut' in Helsinki which gets around 70,000 motorcyclists attending. Appearances at the Streetbike Freestyle World Championship in Zurich, Switzerland, the Rolls-Royce and Mini factories in the United Kingdom and the FMX Show in Tampere have ensured a European-wide following for the two stunt riders.

BMW Motorrad Finland's Tony Raita entertains the visitors to the BMW Sauber F1 Pit Lane Park
Recently, the duo were invited to appear in Warsaw, Poland as part of the BMW Sauber F1 team Pit Lane Park, where visitors can familiarize themselves with the world of Formula One and all its facets. In the capital city, the Formula One circus was brought up close to the Polish fans, especially as Poland's first F1 driver Robert Kubica had just won his first race at the Canadian Grand Prix. With this victory, and his German team-mate Nick Heidfeld finishing in second place, the BMW Sauber F1 team was therefore very popular and they sold out the event in no time.
The event took place at Bemowo airfield and had plenty of activities and products to show fans, including a Formula One simulator, a comprehensive line-up of BMW motorcycles and cars, a Sauber F1 team clothing show, F1 and Formula BMW cars, live music and much more.
The main performers of course were the drivers, captivating audiences and burning rubber with their amazing BMW cars, but Tony Raita and Migu Hilska received rapturous applause from the crowds of race fans that came to witness their Streetbike-Freestyle show. There was plenty of positive feedback from the four-wheeled 'petrol heads' many of whom hadn't been aware of the true sporting capability of BMW Motorrad's latest machines. Both Tony and Migu spent a lot of time signing autographs and leaving people in no doubt that seriously impressive and skilful maneuvers are not just the preserve of four wheels.
Throughout the weekend, there were various television crews that visited the BMW Sauber F1 Pit Lane Park to film the event. At one point, there were four cameramen by the track, two helicopters shooting and Tony Raita even had a camera on his bike to shoot 'on-board' footage for a TV channel. More than 100,000 visitors visited the BMW Sauber F1 Pit Lane Park during the weekend, much to the delight of the organizers.
