9,421 kilometres in 9 days

Sinzig: They've made it! Globe trotters Corinna Ziebarth and Jochen Stather managed to complete the Sinzig -- Nordkap -- Sinzig -- Gibraltar route in only 9 days on board two BMW motorcycles prepared and equipped by BMW specialist Wunderlich.

The altogether 9421 km long route did not only push both riders to their limit, but also gave them the opportunity them to put the fitted equipment on their K 1200 R and R 1200 RT through extensive testing in extreme conditions. Man, woman and machines withstood this test with distinction. Altogether it took them nine days, 139 hours (5.8 days) were spent on the road of which 100.5 hours (4.2 days) were spent on pure riding. The aim of this tour was to complete the distance in record time, but always to stay within the boundaries of traffic laws. They succeeded on both counts. The bikes used together 1081 liters of fuel and 1.5 liters of engine oil.
